Remembering when...it was 1928 but it seems like only Yesterday! Granddad, Ralph Nelson purchased an existing jewelry store in Spencer, Iowa, and renamed it Nelson jewelry. His vision was to carry on the Nelson tradition, walking in the footsteps of his Dad, Nels Nelson, who owned a jewelry store in Forest City. In 1957, Tom Sr. took over, carrying on the family name and the same expert knowledge of jewelry and friendly customer service that had become a legend in this area.  The love of fine jewelry must run in our veins, because today, after 55 years, Tom Sr. and Tom Jr. work side-by-side at the core of the Nelson Jewelry team. 2003 marks our 75th Anniversary!  FOREVER can seem like a long, long time but Nelson Jewelry is here to stay.
